public outreach

The most successful wind energy projects are those in which communities, organizations and residents have a feeling of 'ownership.' VERA specializes in bringing together local and regional stakeholders in cooperative forums to educate, inform, and stimulate solutions to potential development obstacles. The overall goal is to make the process more efficient and cost effective.

In Vermont, VERA has developed the state’s first Collaborative Planning Process, which brings together more than 30 local, state and regional stakeholders to help guide the proposed Searsburg/Readsboro Wind Expansion project to completion.

VERA brings over 25 years of experience conducting public informational meetings, making presentations, and developing and disseminating public outreach materials that help projects come to timely completion through mutual cooperation.
